Diffusion Architecture

Four years of watching machines learn to imagine. A weekly record of generative architecture since the first public diffusion models.

In 2022, the week Midjourney went public, I started posting AI-generated architecture, and never stopped. The account became an accidental longitudinal study: the same experiment, run weekly, for four years. What can this thing actually do?

The early images were beautiful nonsense: melted geometry, dream logic, nothing buildable. Then style arrived without structure. Then, in 2024, control arrived: geometry began to survive the trip through the model. By 2026, generation had become a conversation, one edit at a time, design intent intact.

The lesson of the record: image quality was inevitable. Control was the story.
